It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Connor Joseph Laframboise on April 15, 2014. He leaves this life surrounded by his family at home to join the angels in Heaven. He was the greatest little brother in the world to Rebecca, who was the best big sister in the world. He was born on June 20, 2009 and is the cherished son of Vincent and Michelle “Mim” Laframboise (nee Byrne). He is the special little grandson to Maureen Byrne and Marilyn Laframboise and Dale Twees. His grandfathers Michael Byrne and Daniel O’Brien have taken him by the hand into Heaven. Adored great-grandson of Jeanne Laframboise. Dearest godson of Christina Maure and Rev. Patrick Beneteau. Cherished nephew of Tom and Kelly (Adams) Byrne, Anna Byrne and Andrew Bradley, Trish (Byrne) and Rob Wilson, Christina (Laframboise) and Jason Maure, Sean and Ellen (Harris) Byrne, and Peter Byrne. He will be lovingly remembered by his cousins Lillian, Caitlin, Christian, Remi, Zachary, Grady, Daya, Sasha, Elliot, Gabe and Sidney. His journey was also greatly supported by his respite workers Jess Holden and Andrew Bradley and his loving “Tante Annette”. His spirit and smile were so infectious and he has touched all those who had the privilege of working with him. There was not a single person who came into his life who did not comment on how precious, cute and beautiful that he is. Many thanks to the numerous health care professionals who helped Connor on his journey: his outstanding paediatric nurses at Windsor Regional Hospital, where Connor spent a lot of time and they always made it feel like home, his paediatrician Dr. Ashish Deshpande, his doctors at London Health Sciences Drs. Chitra and Narayan Prasad, his extra special paediatric palliative care nurses Lisa Pearlman and Filomena Rowley, all the VON nurses, especially Jacques, John, Diana and Laura, who visited Connor at home to helped to provide for his care, and the staff at London Health Sciences and Toronto Sick Kids. Connor’s short life was enhanced and made wonderful due in large part to the loving and professional people at the John McGivney Children’s Centre. He started attending the Centre when he was 16 months old and continued there through the Day Care program and spent the fall of 2013 where he was enrolled in JK. Every staff member at McGivney touched his life. Profound, sincere and special thanks go to Heather, Sharon, Kathleen, Kelly, Anita, Linda, Jodi, Vicki, Jocelyn, Lindsay, Kelly, Diana and many, many others. It is with the support of all the McGivney staff that Connor’s life was as full and complete as it could possibly have been. As the end of Connor’s life grew nearer the support of Hospice Windsor was instrumental in guiding our family through this sad journey. Special thanks to Brianne from Hospice and all the healthcare professionals from Hospice who helped support our family so much. Special thanks to Maryanne from CCAC for always being there for us.Visitation will be held at JAMES H. SUTTON FUNERAL HOME 401 Sandwich St. Amherstburg 519-736-2134 on Sunday from 2-5 & 7-9 pm.
