<div itemprop="description">D&rsquo;Angelo, Maria (nee D&rsquo;Alimonte)<br /><br />June 7, 1927- March 2, 2015<br /><br />Passed away peacefully on March 2, 2015 at Windsor Regional Hospital (Hotel Dieu) at the age of 87, with her loving family beside her. Beloved wife of the late Antonio D&rsquo;Angelo (2003). Cherished and loved mother of Eva D&rsquo;Amore (Domenic), Rose Corda (Paolo Luigi) and Santino D&rsquo;Angelo. Dearly loved grandmother of eight grandchildren, Diane, Rosanne, Tara, Lisa, Paul, Stephanie, Christina, and Adam. Also great grandmother to Logan, Giuliano, Angelica, Carson, Chloe, Quinn, Andrea, Gioia, Lola, Olivia and Aiden. <br /><br />Predeceased by her parents Donato and Concetta D&rsquo;Alimonte (Simone). Daughter-in-law of the late Giovanni and Mariucia (nee Ventura) D&rsquo;Angelo. <br /><br />Dear sister of the late Carmine and Angeline D'Alimonte, the late Santino and Ines D&rsquo;Alimonte, Rosaline and Donato DiBartolomeo, the late Amidio and Domenica D&rsquo;Alimonte all of Amherstburg, Assunte and Giuseppe Rosati (Mississauga), Anna and the late Donato Donofrio, Antonio and Lucia D&rsquo;Alimonte, the late Angeline and Agostino DiPaolo, Joe and Yolanda D&rsquo;Alimonte, all of Amherstburg. <br /><br />Dear sister-in-law of the late Pasquale and Iolanda D&rsquo;Angelo (Italy), Sante and the late Rosalia D&rsquo;Angelo (Toronto), the late Antionette and Bartolomeo DiCarlo (Hamilton), Elvira and Rocco DiCarlo (Italy), Concetta and Antonio Parete (Hamilton), Angelina and late husband Remo Pachetta (Italy), Luciano and Mary D&rsquo;Angelo (Toronto). <br /><br />Also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her, both in Canada and Italy. She was a very gentle, loving person who cared about people, especially children. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her, and fondly remembered for her zest for life and commitment to her family. <br /><br />Maria was a long time member of St. John the Baptist Church. <br /><br />If you so desire, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and the Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated by the family.<br /><br />Special thanks to Richmond Terrace Nursing Home for her care, and special thanks to Dr. Aoun and all the nurses at Hotel Dieu Hospital for their compassion and great care. <br /><br />Visitation will be held at James H. Sutton Funeral Home, 401 Sandwich St. S., Amherstburg on Thurs. March 5 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. with Prayers at 7:30 p.m., and on Friday, March 6 from 9:30 &ndash; 10:30 a.m. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church at 11 a.m. <br /><br />Interment to follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
