Survived by his children Thomas Simkins, Christine Simkins, Gary Simkins, Jill Shinn, Jack Simkins; grandchildren Marissa Hatt, Chris Hatt, Kyle Simkins, Kelly Simkins, Grace Shinn, Emily Shinn; great grandchildren Madelyn Amlin-Hatt and Andrew Hatt. Predeceased by his wives Marjorie Clark Simkins and Viola Kovacs Simkins, his parents Walter &amp; Ida Simkins, brother Gord Simkins, and step mother Maude Daudlin. Brother-in-law of June Simkins, uncle of Bruce Simkins and Ellen McClosky (Dave), and step-brother to Ron Daudlin and Garnet Greenfield. <br /> <br />Tom was a Navy Veteran of World War II, Legion member of Amherstburg 157, he retired from Ford Motor Co. in 1980, and was a professional jazz musician. <br /> <br />At his request, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place at Victoria Memorial Gardens, Hwy 3, Oldcastle on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. followed by a celebration of his life at the Legion Br. 157, 281 Dalhousie St., Amherstburg. <br /> <br />In kindness, memorial donations made to R.C.L.
