<div itemprop="description"><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />VALENTE, Giuliano<br />Feb. 5, 1927 &ndash; March 10, 2016<br />Passed away at Hotel Dieu Hospital with his loving family at his side. Beloved husband of 65 years to Alessandrina (Rufo). Loving father to Lidia and Antonio Mosaico, Dorina and Rocco DeThomasis, Josephine and Giuseppe DiNardo, Claudio and his late wife Mary, and Anna and Tony DiBartolomeo. Dear Tatone to 16 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and step great grandchildren. He is now reunited with his angels Christian, Enzo, Kurt and Conner. Predeceased by his parents Giuseppina (Rossi) and Beneditto Valente, his sister Maria Pacitti (Vittorio), sister Gaetana Capaldi (Attilio), brother Carmine Valente (Anina), brother-in-law Alberto Rufo (Pasqua Rosa), sister-in-law Lucia Marcantonio (Vincenzo) and sister-in-law Victoria Zinetti (Giovanni). He will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Giuliano immigrated from Italy on Feb. 17, 1958 to make a better life for his family. He retired from SKD Manufacturing after many years of loyal service. He enjoyed spending many hours outside in his vegetable garden.<br />Visiting at James H. Sutton Funeral Home, 401 Sandwich St. S., Amherstburg (519-736-2134) on Monday, March 14, 2016 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from the funeral home at 10 a.m. going in procession to St. John the Baptist Church for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at the Amherstburg Mausoleum.<br />In kindness, memorial donations made to Sick Kids Foundation would be appreciated. <br />The family would like to thank all the nursing staff at Chateau Park Long Term Care, Riverside Dr. for their great care, compassion and never ending patience with dad during his stay.
