<div itemprop="description">KENNEDY, Murray Justin <br /><br />Born Feb. 1, 1918, in Gesto (Essex), Ontario, and longtime Amherstburg resident, passed away peacefully at the age of 97, in Kingsville on July 26, 2015. Wonderful husband for 67 years to the late Dorothy Clarke (2009). Loving father of Lynn and Norm Talbot, and Dan and Linda Kennedy, all of Amherstburg. Will be sadly missed by his four grandsons David (Aimee) Talbot, Toronto; Paul (Shelley) Talbot, Amherstburg; Trevor (Samantha) Kennedy and Jonathan Kennedy (Alyssa), Amherstburg; and will be fondly remembered by his four great-granddaughters, Lauryn, Kyarra, Chantal, and Jordan Talbot and great grandson Parker Kennedy. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Elizabeth; and all 12 older siblings Myrtle Kennedy, Alma (Elby) Lewis, Cecil (Helen), Edna (K.C.) Seale, Lydia (Rusty) Snyder, Gladys (Mick) Maguire, Donald, Ruby (Whit) Stone, Stewart (Eva), Bernice Kennedy, Stirling (Ivy and Ellen), and Ferne (Jack) Shaw, and sisters-in-law Marg (Bob) Gregory, and Ruth (Ron) Harding. <br /><br />Murray will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, relatives, and numerous friends. Murray served with the RCAF in Moncton during WWII, ran Kennedy Cab in Essex, and was the proud owner of Kennedy Motors in Amherstburg for 30 years. He was an accomplished soloist and choir member for 74 years with Essex and Amherstburg United Church. A longtime volunteer, he was named 1991 Amherstburg Citizen of the year. Murray helped to start the Amherstburg Kinsmen and enjoyed his days golfing and most of all spending time with family and friends. <br /><br />Visiting at the JAMES H. SUTTON FUNERAL HOME, 401 Sandwich St. South, Amherstburg (519-736-2134) on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 3-5 &amp; 7-9 p.m. Visiting will continue on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m..
