<div itemprop="description">CONWAY, Lionel A. &ldquo;Candy&rdquo;<br /><br />Jan. 16, 1927 &ndash; Dec. 23, 2014<br /><br />87 years young. Predeceased by father Lionel Conway Sr. and mother Annie Conway (nee Banks). Loving dad of Paul, Lionel Jr. &ldquo;Bibbit&rdquo;, Rick (Liz), Fran (Daryl) Grayer, Debbie Beaudoin, and predeceased by Ronald. Also survived by his grandchildren David, Ginger, Kyle, Elizabeth, Samantha, Josh, Eric (Ilona), and Ricky Jr. and one great granddaughter. Brother of Shirley (Al) Brigham, Mary Jane (Claude) Blessitt, Louella Mundy, Sandra (late Manuel) Garza, and predeceased by Buddy, Louise, Gerald, and John. Survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was a retired Millwright and Mechanic from Allied/General Chemical after 48 years. Lifelong resident of Amherstburg. He could often be seen taking his daily walks through the town. He was well liked, made friends everywhere he went, and enjoyed the conversation and comradery with them. He was a very generous, hard working man who loved life. People often joked that he was the &ldquo;real&rdquo; Mayor of Amherstburg. He always had a smile and a story for everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by many.<br /><br />Special thanks to his support team: Tina Brown, Mike, Floretina, Stephanie Adams, Stephanie Durocher, Nada from CCAC and nurse Gillian.<br /><br />Visitation will take place at James H. Sutton Funeral Home, 401 Sandwich St. S., Amherstburg on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Amherstburg Community Church, 125 Alma St., Amherstburg on Monday, Dec. 29, 2014 at 12 p.m. <br /><br />As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. <br /><br />You may leave your condolences online at www.jhsuttonfuneral.ca<br /></div>
